Time response
The time legged between the input and output
signal is known as time response of the system.
Depends upon passive components
Total response= Transient response + Steady
state response
Transient response :-
Also called natural response,zero input,initial
response,free response
It is the part of time responses that become zero
as time become very large.
Steady state response :-
Also called forced, fixed and final response
It is the part of time response that remain after
the transient die out or become zero
Close loop transfer fuction
char eq = 1+G(s)H(s)
open loop T.F. = G(s)H(s)
Order of the system :- the higher power of S in the closed
loop control system's transfer function denominator
polynomial or number of pole in system give order of
the system.
c(s)/r(s) = (s+a)/s^3+cs^2+b^s+s
Order of the system = 3
Type of control system :- number of pole at the origin in
the open loop transfer function of a closed loop control
system give type of closed loop control system.
G(s)H(s) = (s+a)/s^2(s+b)(s+c)
type = 2
Initial value theorem :-
Initial value theorem is applied only when the
number of Poles in a system is more than the
number of zeros.
Final value theorem :-
Final value theorem is applied when all the
systems poles lie on left half of s-plan i.e
system must be stable.
Note In marginal system and unstable system
final value theorem cannot be applied
