To Install SIS 2011B DVD Software

To install & use SIS DVD software, 4 steps are required


Administrative Rights, activation ID and internet connection are REQUIRED to install and license
the SOFTWARE not the data

I. Obtain an activation ID (license) from your SIS administrator


II. Install SIS Software
III. Install SIS DATA Setup CD
III. License SIS Software via activation ID
IV. Create/Import SIS User Accounts

Instructions for SIS 2011B (released 11/11)


Valid data is November 2011 and later (until next Software release)
I. Install the software (A new license (activation ID) will be needed for New installs and
updates)
a. Install from either STW DVD\SIS Folder or SIS standalone DVD (setup.exe)
i. Choose language
ii. Continue by clicking OK
InstallShield Wizard appears prompting graphic plug-ins install
iii. Continue by clicking Install
InstallShield Wizard appears prompting SIS install
iv. click Next
v. Validate configuration settings (new install only) Next Install
b. Install of software complete
i. Receive instructions regarding:
Run Setup DVDs - Finish
II. Install SIS Data Setup (RERR0010-XX & RERR0011-XX) & Reboot
a. Install either by auto-run or selecting Start->Run->Setup from CD drive
b. Step through install screens (this will happen for both data discs)
Language - Welcome - Finish
c. Repeat steps a and b for the second data disc
d. Upon completion of the second data disc- A recommended reboot before using SIS
III. Start SIS Receive License Screen
Authorized Cat Dealers have access to on-line licensing
Customers need to work through their dealers
a. Select & Copy the license code (activation ID obtained from your SIS Admin)
b. At the license screen chose your connection method; either Online or Manual
c. Then select activate for installs and upgrades Next
d. Paste activation ID from your SIS admin in the appropriate text field, enter users
name and PC identification Activate
e. You should receive a message that the license was granted successfully
f. If your license is due to expire in 90 days or less you will receive a message
indicating how many days you have to relicense the software
IV. Setup New Users (new installs only)

a. Login to SIS User Administration Note: Profiles must exist prior to Adding Users
b. Profile maintenance
Add profile and complete information
c. User Administration
Add user and complete information
d. Import users
i. XML file required from SIS Administrator
ii. Use Import when users have been exported
iii. Customers to contact Dealer
iv. Create user name and password if no Imported Users are available,
v. Browse & Load
vi. User names showing in red already exist on the computer
vii. Select users to be imported by checking box
V. Logon to SIS at User Login Screen
VI. Accept License Agreement 1st time logon only.
