Elements of Soil Mechanics, 8th Edition Example 8.6

This spreadsheet allows the user to calculate the bearing capacity of a rectangular footing with inclined and eccentric loading based on two different methods - the lumped factor of safety approach and the Eurocode 7 design approach. The user inputs soil and footing parameters and the spreadsheet calculates values such as bearing capacity factors, load inclination factors, and ultimate and safe bearing pressures. It is intended to help solve Example 8.6 from the textbook but allows flexibility to vary inputs and see their effects on the results.
