Newmarks Method Script1

A Matlab code is written to implement the Linear Newmark method to solve the equations of motion for a reinforced concrete chimney subjected to a step force at the top. The code transforms the system matrices into modal coordinates, applies the Linear Newmark time integration method with a time step of 0.1 seconds, and plots the displacements of the first two modes and the displacement of node 5 over time to validate the code against a example problem from a structural dynamics textbook.
