1. An authentication alias called "BSCS_ORISSA" was created for the Orissa BSCS database with a user ID of "sysadm" and password of "successori". 2. The data source configuration for "BSCS12" was modified to use the newly created "BSCS_ORISSA" authentication alias and set the URL to connect to the Orissa BSCS database located at jdbc:oracle:thin:@10.77.0.179:1526:BSCSORI. 3. The connection to the modified data source was tested.

Step 1: Creation of Authentication Alias for Orissa BSCS.

1. Open Admin Console for DMGR for PROD WPS


2. From Left Panel expand Security Section and click Secure administration, applications,
and infrastructure link
3. Expand Java Authentication and Authorization Service from Authentication section as
shown

4. Click J2C authentication data link

5. Click New and enter below mention details :


Alias: BSCS_ORISSA
User ID: sysadm
Password: successori
Description: For BSCS ORISSA Database
6. Click Apply and save the changes

Step II: Modifying Data source Configuration:

1. In Admin Console , expand Resources section from left panel


2. Expand JDBC section and click Data sources as shown

3. Click BSCS12 from the list


4. Modify Component-managed authentication alias section as shown below. Select
authentication alias created for Orissa circle from the drop down list
5. Modify the Oracle data source properties with following url as shown
URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@10.77.0.179:1526:BSCSORI

6. Click Apply and save the changes.


7. Test the connection by selecting datasource name BSCS12 and click Test connection
button.
