It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application for the position of Administration Coordinator

with Secours Islamique France (SIF). I can offer you over 5 years of experience managing people
for leading organisations and charities, excellent project-management skills, and a great eye for
detail, all of which should make me an ideal candidate for this position.

In the past year, I have taken a career break to support refugee communities, particularly children in
Lebanon and Calais. I believe these have equipped me with an actionable understanding of the
psycho-social determinants of community health and social development. Inspired by the need to
appropriate and align global development interventions with local realities, I feel that this internship
with SIF provides the perfect platform to apply my experience to practice and pursue a career in
global development. I am passionate about the humanitarian cause and would relish an opportunity to
experience working with a leading humanitarian organization that focuses on the worlds most
vulnerable people.

In my previous roles at youth engagement charity, The Challenge, I have demonstrated that I am
committed to working hard and seeing the challenges I accept lead to successful outcomes. As a
Senior Manager, I have worked on several projects which have required careful time management
and excellent leadership and organizational skills. have a proven track record of delivering projects on
time and within budget, sound ability to conduct and interpret qualitative and quantitative analyses
and efficient management and motivation of cross functional teams ranging from 5 senior to 45 junior
members. With a solid reputation as a hard working, innovative and results-driven professional, I
believe I am the right candidate for this role.

Furthermore, my strong leadership skills and a robust understanding of complex strategic processes,
have been developed by understanding of the importance of political stability in the implementation of
development programmes. In order to increase reach and inclusivity within the Challenge
Programmes, my role has seen me plan, implement, evaluate and report on programs that provide
sustainable community developemnt. Furthermore, while working independently and unsupervised, I
am able to motivate myself and my team whilst remaining enthusiastic in order to push for the best
results. Further, this enabled me to foster very good working relationships with external stakeholders
including, the NCS Trust (a local government body) local schools, community partners, MPs, special
education needs (SEN) organizations as well as international clients through my role at Haymarket,
effectively communicating with a broad range of stakeholders on a multi-cultural platform.

My passion to support underprivileged and marginalised communities, stems from volunteering

experiences over the last few years. In 2010, I spent a few months in Nepal, with a small grassroots
organisation. Here, I worked with school children, assisting in the building of classrooms and
participated in an additional programme to teach local women English. Since then, I have frequently
fundraised for the UNHCR, and more recently, I volunteered with Hands International to support the
large number of refugees arriving in Calais, from the Middle East. My most recent roles, volunteering
with young children at a small NGO in the Shatila refugee camp in Beirut and emergency relief work
with syrian refugees arriving across the Lebanese border, has furthered my ambitions to work within
the field of global development, particularly towards holistic, long-term approaches that address not
only the rising issues of the crisis itself, but the underlying structural constraints that pre-date the
refugee crisis. These experiences have given me knowledge and perspective in humanitarian
emergency situations and the importance of developing sustainable community development
programmes.

I possess excellent organisational skills and an ability to main the big picture while attending to details
and logistics. I am enthusiastic, a hard working team player with the ability to work in a fast paced
environment; I am an excellent communicator, with an ability to train and manage large teams of
people. I am always striving to exceed on the targets set in a highly organised and professional
manner and willing to take on the challenges within this position. Above all, I remain calm and positive
under pressure, especially in what can be difficult or traumatic situations. I believe my eagerness to
put my skills and experience into practice and my passion to challenge myself to fulfil the role
objectives makes me a fitting candidate for the Coodinator position.
