Similes

Similes are a way to compare two things using the words "like" or "as". In a simile, you directly compare one thing to another thing using these words, whereas a metaphor does not directly state the comparison. Some examples of similes given are "the leaves danced like a ballerina in the wind", "Sarah ran like the wind", and "his hair was as golden as the sun". The document encourages generating additional similes to describe anything desired.
