3. You will now be able to select the type of function you would like to use
from the dialog box.
4. If there is a specific category that is desired to be used, left click Or select a
category.
5. If you have chosen a function, you may left click on the the hyperlink Help
on this function to learn more about the function and its uses.
Below is an example about the function HYPERLINK. The Excel Help lets you
learn about the many different functions associated with HYPERLINK.
6. If a function that was used previously is needed, left click on Most Recently
Used command button and the most recently used functions will appear on
the drop-down menu.
Below are descriptions about a few functions:

SUM This function can be used to add values
in cells
HYPERLINK Produces a shortcut in which it opens a
link that is written using a few words.
This type of link can open documents
saved on hard drives, network servers,
and/or the internet.
AVERAGE This function can be used to return the
average mean of the functions.
IF This function returns one if a condition

COUNT This function counts the number of
cells in a range that contains digits.
MAX This function returns the largest value
in a set of values.
SIN This returns the sine of an angle.
SUMIF Adds cells specified by a given

based on a sample.
