Installation Tools
1. This guide takes the box installed on a 19-inch open rack as an example. It can also L
be installed on an 21-inch open rack. The following describes how to adjust the
installation positions for mounting ears when it needs to be installed in an 21-inch open
rack. L L 100 mm
2. It is recommended that 100 mm vertical space be reserved between a box and a
subrack in WDM Equipment.

2 Install E2000 optical fibers to equipment subrack
Use a cable stripping tool to cut the outer jacket of a cable about 40 mm from the end of the cable.
Remove the wrap tape, pull the ripcord to rip the outer jacket about 1960 mm, and cut off the stripped
jacket.

Ripcord
Cut off the strength member from the stripped point, install the roll protection tube about 600 mm, and
wrap the end of E2000 optical fibers to equipment subrack with insulating tape.
Strength member
Use the strength member to move E2000 optical fibers to equipment subrack from the rear part of
the Box to the front part: Thread the strength member through the cable incoming hole from the front
part of the Box. Fasten the strength member and E2000 optical fibers to equipment subrack using
insulating tape. Pull the strength member to move E2000 optical fibers to equipment subrack to the
front part of the Box.
