M.Wave Basic

1. Function at a Glance
Well introduce you the main functions of M.Wave Basic in this chapter

1) Quantitative Analysis
We provide you 2 methods to establish a Standard Curve:
 Coefficient Method
If you have known the coefficients of a curves equation, you can input them directly,
then the curve displays on the screen. You can measure unknown samples by the
curve.
Set up a curve by standard samples
You can use at most 20 standard samples to set up a new curve. 3 ways are under
your choice to fit the curve, which are Linear, Linear through zero and Quadratic.

2) Kinetics
 You can choose the Time Intervals0.51.0, 2.0, 5.0, 10.0, 30.0 or 60.0 Seconds
You can choose different Photometric Mode to display the curve.
(Transmittance-Time & Absorbance-Time)

3) Photometry Measurement
The test result can be displayed in Transmittance Mode and Absorbance
Mode.

3. Input the wavelength you want in Area B (Fig.4-2).

4. Choose the Concentration Unit in Area C (Fig.4-2).
5. Choose curve fitting method in Area D (Fig.4-2)
6. Set up Standard Curve.
Two methods are under your choice to create a new curve.
 Method 1 Coefficient
(1) Click Coefficient option in Area E. (Fig.4-2)
(2) Input the curve equations coefficients in corresponding frames in Area E.
(Fig. 4-2.
(3) Click OK to finish setting.

Method 2 Use Standard Samples to create a new curve

(1) Click Standard Sampling option in Area E (Fig.4-2).
(2) Choose the quantity (20of the standard samples in Area E. (Fig.4-2)
(3) Input the standard samples concentration in corresponding frame in Area F.
(Fig.4-2)
(4) Click OK to finish setting.
(5) Pull the Reference into the light path and click the icon then the system
will move the wavelength to the one you just input, it blanks then.(For the
model of V-1100D, the system will prompt you to set the wavelength at
the point you want.)
(6) Pull 1# standard sample into the light path and move the cursor on the first
frame of Abs. in Area C. (Fig.4-3) The samples Absorbance value will
appear in this frame after double click.
(7) Measure other standard samples in the same way as step (6) shows. The
curve displays automatically in Area B (Fig.4-3) when finish.

Fig. 4-3 Create Standard Curve and Measure

Note: You can modify the curves coordinates by clicking the icon . (Fig. 4-4.
You can also save the curve by clicking , and you can reload it by clicking
next time.
