variable;theunitsarestoredinsidethevariableonceyoudefineit.
Theunitpoundisaunitofforce.Mathcadcallsthisunit"lbf".TheunitinMathcadcalled"lb"isaunitofmassandshould
rarelybeused.
Whendefiningarangevariable,threenumbersareused:thefirstitem,theseconditem,andthelastitem.Forexample:
A:=0,1..5putsthevalues0,1,2,3,4,5inthevariableA.B:=7,7.2..8.2puts7.0,7.2,7.4,7.6,7.8,8.0,8.2inB.Youwillnotgetthe
resultyouexpectifyoutypeC:=7,1..11because1doesnotcomeafter7.
Mathcadiscasesensitive(Capitallettersmatter).
Occasionally,typoscancreateinternalerrors,sothatevenafterfixingthetypoyoustilldonotgettheresultyouare
expecting.ThisusuallyhappensinsideofaSolveblock.IfyouaresureyouhavefixedalltheerrorsinyourSolveblockbutit
stillisnotworking,tryretypingthecontentsoftheblocktoseeifthatfixestheproblem.
