Creating circles
10. Remove the construction line 1 and construction line 2 by selecting them and press the delete key.
Creating more construction lines
16. Trim off the outer part of the 94mm radius circle. Use the two 22mm
circle as the reference point for the intersection of the 94mm radius
circle.
Adding fillets
20. Select the 1st object approximately above its perimeter by clicking
the top part of the circle at the top left.
21. Select the 2nd object approximately above its perimeter by clicking
the top part of the circle at the top right.
22. Create 2 more fillets with one radius 12mm at the bottom left
part of the figure and another with 32mm radius at the
bottom right side of the figure.
Creating tangent line
25. Place the crosshair near the 32mm radius circle until the tangent
symbol appears and then click the left mouse button. This is for the
first point of the line.
26. Type tan in the command line to force the line to snap to tangent
object snap type.
27. Place the crosshair near the 15mm radius circle at the top until the
tangent symbol appears and then click the left mouse button. This
is for the second point of the line.
28. Trim out the excess parts and the figure should look like as
follows.
Creating the bottom curved slot
Note:
Make sure you selected the quadrant object snap type on the
drafting settings before you do this.
34. Save your work using the proper format and submit your work.
35. Finish.
