This document discusses the implementation of a Modelica library for simulating refrigeration systems. The library contains models of common refrigeration system components like pipes, heat exchangers, compressors, expansion devices and accumulators. It is based on the free ThermoFluid Modelica library and currently supports simulations with CO2 and R134a refrigerants. Results from a transient simulation of a CO2 system are presented and compared to experimental data showing step changes in compressor speed and evaporator inlet air temperature.
