STEP1. SLEEPTHERAPYSOFTWAREINSTALLATION

1. OntheCD,locatetheSetupfolderandrun(doubleclick)theRESmart.exeapplication.
2. Followallthedefaultpromptstoinstallthesoftware.

STEP2. HARDWAREINSTALLATION(SerialRS232toUSBDataCableDriver)

1. DonotplugthedatacableintothecomputerorCPAPmachineyet.
2. OntheCD,locatetheDriverfolder.DoubleClickontheDriverfolderandthenagainontheDriversubFolder.Here
youwillseedifferentfoldersforWindowsoperatingsystems.OpenthefolderthatmatchesyourWindows
operatingsystem(Eg.Windows7_vista_32_64)
3. Run(doubleclick)thePL2303_Prolific_WDMDDriverInstaller_v1.6.1.exeapplication.
4. Followallthedefaultpromptsanddriverwillbeinstalled.
5. Rebootyourcomputer.

STEP3. CONNECTtheDataCabletoyourWindowsbasedPC

1. PlugintheUSBendofthedatacabletoyourcomputer.
2. IfWindowsrecognisenewhardwareallowthisprocesstocomplete.
3. PresstheWindowsStartbuttonandselectControlPanel.
4. FromtheControlPanel,selectDevicesHardwareandSound,then
SelectDeviceManager
5. ChecktheDeviceManagertomakesureyoucanseetheProlificto
USBCommPort(COM3)
Note:YourcomputermayshowadifferentCOMnumberotherthan3

STEP4. CONNECTtheDataCabletoyourBMCCPAPMachine

1. ApplypowertotheCPAPMachinethenplugtheotherendofyourdatacablefromyourPCintothecommporton
thebackoftheBMCCPAPmachine.

STEP5. USINGTHESOFTWARE

1. LocateanddoubleclicktheRESmarticon onthedesktopofyourPC.
2. ClickonNEWtocreateanewpatientrecord(enteryourownpersonaldetailshereforfutureuse)
3. ThesoftwareshouldautomaticallyscananddiscovertheconnectedBMCCPAPmachine.
4. Oncethenewpatientdatahasbeentransferredtothedevice,clickontheDOWNLOADicontoretrievethesleep
therapydatafromyourdevice.

TIP:IfyouseetheerrormessageConnectiontoventilatorfailed.PleasecheckconnectionchecktheDeviceManager
andwritedownthecommportnumberthathasbeenassignedtothedatacablebyyourcomputer.

ClickontheSetUpCog ,unticktheautoconnectboxandmaunallyassignthematchingportnumber.
