Since Sara's supervising teacher taught a study skills class for one hour a day, it was decided that it would be
beneficial for Sara to assist in teaching my advanced English 8 class during this period. Sara was a true asset.
Whether we were doing grammar, writing, or reading literature, she was there to help with the daily lesson. She
shared her knowledge with her students and with me, and students always felt comfortable in asking her for help.
Sara quickly established a good relationship with everyone and became involved in the Smith community. With
students she was kind, respectful, and fair. With teachers and other staff members she was friendly and
outgoing. Working with her is delightful since she has a lively and spirited disposition. She also became
involved with activities in the Smith community. She chaperoned the eighth grade trip to Washington D.C.,
helped with Relay for Life events, and monitored the library a couple of days a week before school.
Sara is very computer savvy. Each year our eighth graders have an interview with someone from the Troy
community where they showcase their middle school experience. This year our students are expected to create a
WEEBLY to do this instead of the traditional binder. Sara created a WEEBLY of her own where she explained
the interview process, the requirements of the WEEBLY and how it could be set up. She presented a WEEBLY
lesson to all of my students. She has also shared her computer expertise with me.
Sara has demonstrated dedication to her chosen profession and her students. She has been reliable in performing
all of her duties and responsibilities. Sara has grown from a college intern into a bright, new professional teacher
who will always strive to be the best that she can be. She presents herself as a seasoned teacher. It is without
reservation I recommend Sara Zielinski as a teaching candidate. For further assistance, please contact me at (248)
