This morning, I was tasked to introduce our Keynote Speaker.

As
we are all acustomed with the English Language in our
communications and documents at work, I was handed over
yesterday with a profile in pure Iluko dialect.

But since we have not commenced yet our workshop on Iluko,

kindly spare my obliviousness with our own dialect as I have
decoded it in the universal language.

Our guest is most fitted to be our speaker as he was once the

speech translator of Senators Ernesto Maceda, Rodolfo Biazon,
Francisco Tatad, Aquilino Pimentel, Jose de Venecia, and others.

From that alone, we can say that he has the sole authority to
speak before us today.

At age 17, he became staff of Bannawag Magazine and was the

Entertainment Editor and News & Comics Editor until his
retirement in 2005.

He has written the famous biography of Dr. Godofredo Reyes -

Tan-ok ti Kailokuan.

Moreover, his editorial experience include The Vigan Chronicle,

The Coop Bulletin, Narvacanews, Law Enforcement Magazine
and others.
His print media exposure include, among others, Liwayway
Magazine, Balita, and Graphic here in the Philippines. When he
was in Europe, he became the Philippine Bureau Chief of The
Filipino Star Magazine in Italy.

His affiliations with broadcast media are the following:

- Announcer at DZTP
- Commentator for Core TV
- Moderator of Debate sa Bombo Radio
- Correspondent of KNUI Radio at Fox News, Maui, Hawaii
and KPHI of Oahu, Hawaii.

He was also a delegate to the 1st and 2nd International

Convention of Iluko Writers in Hawaii in 2002 and 2006.

His professional membership includes FAMAS, National Press

Club, MTRCB, Capitol Press Corps as its President and Ilocos
Sur Association of Government Information Officers as its Vice
President.

He is also a poet who has won and became a jury to various

poetry contests here and abroad where he also poetically
serenaded countless beauty queens in Hawaii. He was also the
Grand Champion of Hernando Poetry Reading Contest in 1997 at
the Bulwagang Plaridel, National Press Club, Manila.
As we put melody to poetry, we create a song. Yes, he has
written more than 300 songs which were recorded by Vhen
Bautista, Demy Q., Armand Curameng of Italy and others.

From this accomplishments, he was recognized as an Oustanding

Narvacaneo in the Field of Journalism in 1997.

Familywise, he is the loving husband of Marilyn Corrales and

supportive father to four, namely:

- Locksmae who works at the Cooperative Development

Authority Central Office,
- Andrea Marie, a Lieutenant of the Medical Administrative
Corps of the Armed Forces of the Philippines
- Eliseo Jr., an Environmental Science Graduate; and
- Avril Nadine, a Seventh Grader.

Friends, it is my distinct privilege to present to you...
