12 - What did the instructor do that was most helpful to my learning in this course?

At the beginning of and end of classes he would go over what is due for next week and ask if we had any questions. He expressed concern with how we were doing in the class. and wanted ud to
succeed.

I understand that it is a three credit course in three weeks which requires a lot of work but I feel like the work should be consolidated more so that it is a realistic amount of schoolwork.
Incorporated group discussions, and he had several visual aids instead of just talking out of the textbook.
Instructor was very quick with grading, and responsiveness
It was neat to see the incorporation of technology (phones, google docs, etc.). Content in class referenced well to the reading that was required, but was more than a copy/paste job from the book that
too many teachers at NTC do.
Powerpoints, I am verbal learner, so it was nice to have the powerpoints with the audio links.

The audio powerpoints were extremely helping for this class since it was online.
The instructor gave us exams every weekend to help improve my learning because the exams goes over what we learned in class and from the chapter in the book that we are in.
The textbook and powerpoint were simply tools - not the whole of the class. Each class had several different websites, graphs, and activities to enhance concepts learned during the week. Also,
questions were intended to make students think - very raarely were there "right" and "wrong" questions. Finally, the discussion was well-managed. I can only imagine it's difficult to initiate discussion
across several campuses but he seemed to do a good job with this by specifically asking, "Antigo, what are your thoughts?" (Just an example.)
The videos he showed helped explain a lot of the information.
This class far exceeded my expectations in more than one way. First off he did not push a liberal or conservative mindset on us. The entire class was him asking questions trying to figure out what we
thought of the situation and how we would improve it. Not only that, but he was not afraid to hurt anyone's feelings or be politically correct 100% of the time. He spoke the truth and that earned more
respect than anything else, he always was fair while grading and was always in a great mood!!!
This course was extremely fast paced, given it was a winterim course, so it was helpful that the course opened early and I was able to start my course work ahead of schedule.
This course was very informative and I feel I learned a lot. Dr. Buemi was very professional and I feel is an excellent teacher. A+ course
Used real life examples.
What I found was helpful is how you went back over the chapter through your PowerPoints to help understand some concepts from the textbook.
When we arrived in class some weeks we would play Kahoot. I enjoyed playing this and it also made sure you read the book before coming to class.

He uses a lot of repetition. I don't need that much repetition.

I do not have any. This class was my favorite.

Nothing. I really enjoyed being in this class, and the way it was structured.
responding to emails could have been faster. it was 2-3 days before a response was received. during breaks, there were a few times that you had started without all students back in the classroom,
even if the 5 minute time wasn't up yet. possibly wait at least the full time stated (not saying to wait until every student is back, every time, if a kid is gone 10+ minutes there is no way anyone would
want to wait that long).
The syllabus was made available at the opening of the course but the information was not as specific as I've seen in previous courses. An example is the Discussion Board grading, it wasn't clearly
stated how many DB we needed to respond to so I guessed and completed all that were already submitted. I received full credit, so must have done it right. Given this course is so fast paced, I didn't
take the time to contact Dr. B, just waited for my score and went from there. Also, there was limited contact from Dr. B, other than 2 simple notes with instructions when BB became available. This is
my first 3 week course, so maybe this is typical....just suggesting that more communication at the beginning of the course might be more helpful. Things like an introduction from instructor, just so we
can get a feel of what the expectations will be for the course assignments.
There is nothing I can think of that would make this course better.

I enjoy online classes better than going to school, I can work at home, more on my own pace, while still meeting due dates, and it's easier to fit homework/school time in around my busy life schedule.

I really liked the idea of getting a class done in 3 weeks. It helps speed up the process of getting a degree.
I took this course to lighten my load for spring semester and was very satisfied. I wish I could do all my courses at this pace, that way I could complete one course at a time in a short period and move
on to the next course. Will definitely do again!
