    Script for Pitch

    For my Final Major Project, I will be making a short film that will be
    aired on Film4. It is a linear narrative as it will have a beginning, middle
    and an end. The genre of the film will be Crime/ Thriller.
    Quick Summary: Girl and boy go on a date. The guy asks her to come
    back to his house, but she refuses. He gets slightly mad, they then go
    opposite ways. She walks home by herself and passes an alley. A gang
    of boys drag her into the alley. She gets mugged and attacked and then
    they run away and leave her behind. She finds the guys who attacked
    her and she kills them one by one. She then asks the guy she went on a
    date with first for a second date and she then kills him.
    There will be 5 characters that you see in the film The main female
    character, the sub-main male character and the three side guys who are
    involved in the gang.

    The target audience for my short film is 15-25. This is because of the
    narrative and content of characters and general idea, as it is very much
    directed at a younger audience, because the characters in the film are
    generally in this age range. Therefore, my film will also be rated a 15,
    so that will be the minimum age for the audience and who can watch it.
    My target audience would ideally be attracted to thrillers and crime
    movies, excitement, intense plot lines that would keep the audience on
    the edge of their seats.

    In my movie my female role will be ideally seen as the protagonist - the


    one who gets her revenge, rather than having a male role come and
    save her. The age rating on this film is 15 as some scenes may be
    disturbing for younger audience.
    My ideal target audience would be both male and female
    It would be aimed at older teens and young adults between roughly 15-
    25. There wont be very gory scenes as it is a thriller, not a horror. The
    socio-economic group would be very mixed, but mainly E-D, as it is
    mainly aimed at students, unemployed or have a lower level of a job,
    people who just got out of university
    thrill seekers, This is because of the plotline of the movie and the
    concept of it all, still feel sympathetic towards her rather than the boys
    even when she kills them

    My production is quite similar to I Spit in Your Grave. However, this was


    since 2010, there arent many films with a similar type of storyline and
    plot, therefore I think mine would have a unique style to it to other
    crime/ thrillers.
    the genre of this film is more of a horror, which distinguishes this one to
    mine

    I will need to travel to Burnham by train, which would be 7.50


    Gun I have access to a fake gun at home, so there will be no
    extra costs
    Knife I Have access to a fake knife at home, so there will be no
    extra costs
    Fake blood - I Have access to this at home, so there will be no
    extra costs
    T-shirt (Black or white) I will get a plain Black and/ or white top
    from Primark

    Crew:
    I will write and direct the whole production and film the majority of the film.
    Shane and Sam will film certain part just to get some more angles in, for different
    scenes.
    Cast:
    My female role will be played by Grace Millar, the sub main guy will be played
    by Shane Hampden and the gang of guys will be played by Louis Brown, Jack
    Barrett and Josh Hemphill.

    Shes a nice girl who was brought up right by her parents, with proper
    manner, etc.
    After she gets attacked she discovers a different side to herself which
    she didnt know she had a stronger and more dominant

    Short Temper
    Friends with the other guys since school
    Lower class
    Doesnt really stay at home, sleeps at different friends houses each
    night. When he goes back home his mums boyfriend gives him a hard
    time.
    His mother is controlled by her boyfriend.

    The guys in the gang have been friends since school, theyre all from a lower
    class. Theyre all quite similar personalities -
