What did you learn about negotiating from this exercise?
I learned that I have to try to get as much information as I can before giving my
information or some advice proposal that might end up benefiting the other part.
It would be better if you knew with whom you were going to negotiate , it could
help you to have power in the negotiation.
What surprised you about your own behavior or the behaviors of others ?
I was surprised that the opponent tried to improvise because she was not
prepare and she doenst have a clear idea ,also she avoid some details of the
negotiation, so the other part was easily influenced by the decisions made by
me.
What did you learn about yourself? What did you learn about other
people?
I learned that I have to be more patient in reaching a final agreement ,to dont
take risky decisions, I also have to look more confident in the proposals that I
give and give explanations if I reject a proposal.
What you do differently if you had to do it again? Why?
I would try to have better relation with the other part, so that I could do more
negotiations with the same person and be able to form a bond to help both of
us, but also I want a little more time to better analyze what the other part
required and both of us benefited.
What skills were you relative good at?
I can easily convince the other party to agree, I can achieve a deal without
displeasure with the parties and I have the ability to actively listen to the other
part in the debate.
