My film may include some content, which I would have to be careful with, for example, the
scene where the group of guys attack the girl may be an issue when it comes to sexual
violence and strong violence. The BBFC states works involving the depiction of criminal
behaviour, illegal drugs, violent or horrific behaviour and human sexual activity are given
special regard under the 'harm' test. All digital works that are submitted to the BBFC for age
rating are subject to the same level of scrutiny under the VRA as DVDs and Blu-rays. If a
production is found to be a breach of the law, then it could be refused to be given a
certificate and rejected.
Copyright issues include any music that I may use. If I am using music or sound effects that
have copyright, then I need confirmation for using that music/ soundtrack. I may be using
some soundtrack, which I may need a confirmation for using for my film, and some sounds I
will be creating myself.

Programme Design Format:


My film will be shown on the TV channel Film4 that is a channel owned and operated by
Channel 4, which screens independent films. I chose to screen my film on here as similar
films in my genre and similar target audience have been shown on Film4. These are films
such as Jennifers Body which is a 15 rated film. Looking at the Film4 films that they show,
the 12 rated films are shown around 9pm and the 15 rated films are shown around 10pm.
This is the same age rating that mine will be, and therefore my film would be aired around
10pm.
