A rough translation of the Quran.
I The Opening
1. In the name of Allah, Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem.
2. The praise is to Allah, Master of all the Worlds. 3. Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem. 4. Master of the Day of Recompense. 5. You do we worship, and Your help do we seek. 6. Guide us to the straight path. 7. The path of those you bestowed your favor upon, not those who earned your wrath upon themselves, and nor of those who are astray.
II The Cow
In the name of Allah, Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem.
1. Alif Laam Meem.
2. That is the book, no doubt in it; a guidance for the Muttaqeen. 3. Those who believe in the unseen, and establish the prayer, and out of what we have provided for them, they spend. 4. And those who believe in what has been revealed to you, and what has been revealed before you, and in the Akhira, they firmly believe. 5. Those are upon guidance from their Master; and those, they are the successful ones. 6. No doubt, those who have disbelieved, same it is for them whether you warn them, or you do not warn them: they will not believe. 7. Allah has set a seal upon their hearts, and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil; and for them is a punishment great. 8. And among the people are those, who say, We believe in Allah and the Last Day,, but not are they believers. 9. They think to deceive Allah and those who believe, but not do they deceive except themselves, and not do they perceive. 10. In their hearts is a disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and from them is a punishment painful, because they used to keep lying. 11. And when it is said to them, Do not spread corruption in the earth, they say, We are only reformers. 12. Beware! No doubt, they, they are the corruptors, but not do they perceive. 13. And when it is said to them, Believe like the people have believed, they say, Should we believe like the foolish have believed? Beware! No doubt, they, they are the fools, but not do they know. 14. And when they meet those who believe, they say, We have believed, and when they are alone with their Shaitaan, they say, Surely, we are with you; we are only mockers. 15. Allah mocks them, and prolongs them in their transgression, so they wander blindly. 16. Those are the ones who purchased the error with the guidance, so not did their transaction bring any profit, and nor were they guided. 17. Their example is like the example of the one who kindled a fire, then when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light, and left them in the darknesses, so not do they see. 18. Deaf, dumb, blind, so not will they return. 19. Or like a rainstorm from the heaven, in it are darknesses, and thunder, and lightening. They put their fingers in their ears from the thunderclaps from the fear of death: and Allah encompasses the disbelievers. 20. The lightening almost snatches away their sight; every time it flashes for them, they walk in it, and when it darkens on them, they stand; and if Allah had willed, he would have surely taken away their hearing and their sight. No doubt, Allah is over every thing, Qadeer. 21. O Mankind! Worship your Master, the one who created you, and the ones before you: so that you may attain Taqwa. 22. The one who made for you the earth a resting place, and the heaven a canopy, and sent down from the heaven water, then brought forth with it the fruits as provision for you. So do not set up to Allah rivals, while you know. 23. And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down to Our slave, then produce a Surah like it, and call your witnesses from other than Allah, if you are truthful. 24. But if you dont, and never will you do, then fear the Fire whose fuel are the men and the stones: prepared for the disbelievers. 25. And give good news to those who believe, and do righteous deeds, that for them are Jannat, flow from under them the rivers. Every time they are provided therefrom of fruit as provision, they will say, This is the one which we were provided from before! And they will be given therefrom in resemblance; And for them therein are spouses purified: and they therein will abide forever. 26: Surely, Allah is not shy to strike a example, even of a mosquito, and then what is above it. Then as for those who believe, they will immediately know that it is the truth from their Master. And as for those who disbelieve, they will immediately say, Whatever does Allah intend by this example; He misguides with it many, and He guides by it many; and not does He misguide by it, except the defiant corruptors. 27. Those, who break the Covenant of Allah after its sanctification, and cut what Allah has ordained to be joined, and spread corruption in the earth: Those, they are the losers. 28. How do you disbelieve in Allah, while you were dead, then He gave you life; then He will give you death, then He will give you life, then to Him you will be returned. 29. He is the one who created for you what is in the earth, all of it. Then He turned to the heaven, and fashioned them into seven heavens. And He is, of every thing, All-Knowing. 30. And when your Master said to the angels, No doubt, I am going to place in the earth a Khalifah, they said, Will you place in it one who will spread corruption in it, and will shed blood, while we glorify you with your praises, and we sanctify You? He said, No doubt, I know what you do not know. 31. And He taught Adam the names all of them. Then He displayed them to the angels, then said, Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful. 32. They said, Glory be to You! No knowledge for us, except what You have taught us: indeed, You, You are the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. 33. He said, O Adam! Inform them of their names, then when he informed them of their names, He said, Did I not tell you, that indeed, I know the unseen of the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal. 34. And when We said to the angels, Prostrate to Adam, they immediately prostrated, except Iblees. He refused, and was arrogant, and he was from the disbelievers. 35. And We said, O Adam! Dwell you and your spouse in the Jannah, and eat from it freely from wherever you wish. But do not approach this tree, lest you both be from the wrongdoers. 36. Then the Shaitaan made them slip from it, and got them out from what they were in. And We said, Go down, some of you as enemies to others, and for you in the earth is a dwelling place, and a provision till a time. 37. Then Adam received from his Master words, so He turned towards him: No doubt, He is the Oft-Returning, the Most Merciful. 38. We said, Go down from it, all of you; so then when comes to you from Me guidance, then no fear will be on them and not will they fear. 39. And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs, those are the companions of the Fire: they therein will abide forever.
