Fujikuras range of FAST (Field Assembly with Simple Technique) connectors allow you to terminate a fibre in less than a minute. The FAST connector is a pre-polished connector which uses mechanical clamping and aligning of a cleaved fibre end which is inserted into the connector body.
The FAST connector is available in both singlemode and multimode (OM1 and OM3 10Gig) and a variety of connector types and can be terminated onto 250m and 900m coated fibre as well as 2mm and 3mm jacketed cord. Low friction and drop cable FAST connectors are alsoavailable.
SC, LC and ST FAST connectors only need basic fibre preparation tooling and a fibre cleaver. SC/APC and LC/APC require a specialist angle precision cleaver which allows correct mating to the angled fibre stub within the connector. An additional handling jig can be used to terminate onto 2mm/3mm jacketedcord.
