Preparation/Planning ESL Course: Advanced Class for Adults in a Non- Level Beginning Intermediate Advanced Multilevel Profit Program Topic/Theme: Handling Rejection Listening Listen to and understand the speech by Jia Jang: Objectives https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vZXgApsPCQ Speaking Students will discuss journals with partners, as well as discuss the content of the video and how it relates to their lives. Reading Read vocabulary sheet and explore vocabulary, as well as read the questions for the worksheet assessing understanding of the video. Writing Students will write the answers to comprehension questions on the worksheet. Bridging What background knowledge Some students will be familiar with Youtube videos, TED Talks, and do the students already have? the types of content usually found within a TED Talk video.
