Developed novel lesson demonstration and activity kits for volunteers to present in
classrooms to engage young people with hands-on/mind-on activities that improve
understanding and appreciation of physical and life sciences, math and technology.

Research Technician III, Neuroscience: General managerial skills were required to
maintain a maximal level of performance from staff and laboratory equipment.
Oversaw PCR-based mouse genotyping, including mouse ear clipping, DNA extraction; PCR
and gel electrophoresis to confirm mouse genotype.
May 2004 - Aug 2004 PACIFIC AGRI-FOOD RESEARCH CENTRE Agassiz, B.C.
Research Technician: Generated and published a biopesticide database that is currently used
as the major reference for biopesticides in Canada.
Participated in fieldwork where I collected wireworm species in both the Vancouver area as
well as Oregon, USA.
Performed laboratory research on collected wireworms with Metharizium anisopliae fungal
biopesticide and data analysis.
