You will choose your 10 best images from the photos you took for your photo essay.
Follow these steps to organize and arrange your images to create a cohesive narrative
that demonstrates both unity and variety as well as a concept or idea.

Step One: Narrow down your photos to 10

Delete any that are blurry or that are too dark or too light. Select a
variety so that the photo essay doesn't get monotonous, or redundant- have a variety of images
with some taken up close, some far away, and some taken from different angles- above,
below, from the side, straight on..

Notice what elements may be a unifying theme in your photos- texture, words/text, colors, leading lines...
as well as which photos most convey a concept or themes. (Memory, History, Nostalgia, Spirituality,
Humor, Time, Consumption, Urban Decay, Conservation, Man vs Nature, Play, Family, Relationships, Nature/Ecology,
Change, Investigation, Secrets, Illusion, Journey, Travel)

Step Two: Make Photo Gallery in Weebly

In weebly, make a new page and create a photo gallery:
Make 5 columns, then select Advanced> no cropping

Step Three: Consider the order and create a sequence of images visually:
will your photos be arranged chronologically? big to small? by framing?
Will you arrange your photos considering a beginning middle and end-
(images with focal point on left, then middle, then right)
or, is there anything that can visually lead you from one image to the next?

Step Four: Edit your selected photos...

Again, consider unity and variety:if color tints and/or exposure are not the same in all images,
consider converting all to black and white or adding a sepia tone..

To Edit all photos in Photoshop:

Crop (if necessary) and:

-Keeping images in color? adjust hue and saturation and/or color balance
-Changing black and white? grayscale, then levels

To add photo filters

-Hue/Saturation Layer Adjustment:
Preset: Cyanotype, Sepia, Saturation boost, etc:
adjust lightness, darkness, saturation...note numbers to keep consistent from photo to photo

ALSO>OR:
-Properties (Photo icon) Layer Adjustment
add photo filters- again, keep consistent and have a reason WHY- any filters should enhance and illustrate
your concept or theme.

Step Five: Upload your edited photo essay

Publish your first set of ten, as well as upload your edited set afterwards.
