Recent graduate experienced in writing, producing and researching a variety of content
for both print and online. Highly-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic when given the
opportunity to learn new skills. Also keep a fervent interest in current affairs and the
ways in which journalism is evolving.
Relevant experience
April 2010: Web Copy Writer, the Frontline Club
Work experience at The Frontline Club, a media club in London which focuses on
independent journalism and war reporting. (http://frontlineclub.com/)
Duties included researching and writing up posts suitable to the club’s style and
tone. Topics included libel reform, dangers of frontline reporting and the ethical
problems of photographing natural disasters.
Other duties included using social media to help promote up-coming events at the
club as well as trying to contact possible candidates to talk at such events.
Put myself forward to be editor of the arts section of student run website.

Duties included proof reading copy, researching potential ideas and delegating
work appropriately during weekly editorial meetings. Role improved my
knowledge of effective SEO use.

lifestyle magazine based in the North East with a circulation of 100,000.
Researched and used initiative to write up listings suitable for ABC1 audience.

Work Experience
Preparing meals and keeping a clean working area. Usually working on my own
and responsible for dealing with money exchanges.
Working in a busy kitchen as part of a team. Dealing with all areas of food
preparation and cooking of meals. Achieved food and hygiene certificate as part
of the job.
