    SURVEY ON DRUG INFORMATION SERVICE

    FOR AMBULATORY PATIENTS AT ONE OF THE PRIVATE HOSPITAL


    IN BANDUNG

    ABSTRACT

    Drug information service is very necessary for patients who have not received adequate
    information about the medicinal drug use, especially in ambulatory patients. This
    research was done to identify the need of Drug Information Service to ambulatory
    patients at one of the private hospitals Bandung. This study was conducted in August
    2015 concurrently. Samples were taken on 100 respondents ambulatory patients who
    were in the waiting room Pharmacy using a questionnaire. Processing data was done
    by Guttman Scale method with a score > 4 state less good, and score < 5 stated good
    results. From the questionnaire we get the result that as many as 91% of the Drug
    Information Service on an ambulatory patients was stated good (Guttman Scale, < 5),
    and 9% was stated poor (Guttman Scale, <4 ). Ambulatory patients in one of the
    privatehospital in Bandung were need drug Information Service to conduct their healty.
    Drug Information about how to use the drug, the efficacy, side effects, the rule of uses,
    storage and kontraindication when they take the drug in the Pharmacy.
