Chapter 1 Product Overview

Thank you for purchasing this high quality Two Door Control Panel & LCD Display
Reader.

Adopting a separated controller and reader design, RAC-2000PS is a truly dependable,


flexible access control solution with real time on site or remote operation, event
recording, programmable duress, multiple access modes, anti pass back functions for
entrance security. RAC-2000PS can support max. up to 15,000 card holders and can
connect 4 RS-485 readers. Operated with eNitor Management Software, RAC-2000PS
is your ideal solution for residential zone, hospital, warehouse, airport, offices, factories,
university, campus, and parking lot barrier etc. access control.

1.1 Package Contents

When you unpack your new RAC-2000PS, Two Door Control Panel & LCD Display
Reader, please make sure that all of the following items are included and are not
damaged.

1.2 Features

z Control panel holder & block terminal ensure easy installation & easy
maintenance
z Provide RS232/RS485 communication interface to PC.(Able to expandable to
255 sets by RS485 interface)
z Controller and reader separate design, maximum controls 4 RS-485 Readers (2
IN / 2 OUT for 2 doors or reader IN, exit button for OUT of single door)
z Provides optical coupled isolated sensors for door sensor, exit button and reader
tamper
z Provide 2 relay outputs for electronic lock and alarm
z Stores maximum 15,000 cardholders/events
z Provide 128 time zones and schedules, 8 time conditional unlock door

emergency, controller will send signal to control center at the same time for
tracing and rescue.

over detection time setting.
z ESD / Surge protection design to protect devices & enhance communication

z RTC (Real Time Clock) and Watchdog function ensures accurate date/time and
system free from halting

Note:
z The reader required to use a separate power supply to prevent power
degradation due to long transmission distance and ensure readers normal
operation.
z For optimum read range, kindly use DC Linear power for the readers power
supply.
z Please add an isolator with proper thickness on the back of the reader if you are
to install it onto a metallic object to prevent interference.
z The distance between 2 readers should be 1.5 times the read range to prevent
radio frequency interference from each other.
z TXD2 and RXD2 are designated for RAC-2000PS compatible readers; kindly
use a 20AWG aluminum foiled-double shielded twisted pair cable.
z NODE ID 1 and 2 is allocated for Door 1 while NODE ID 3 and 4 is for Door 2.

Chapter 4 Installation

4.1 Hardware Setup

4.1.1 Metal Housing Setup

1. Install the control panel backer to the metal rail. Install the notch of backer to the
protruding of the metal rail (Indicator 1).
2. Press the backer (Indicator 2) slightly to install the control panel to the metal rail.
3. To dismount the control panel from the metal rail, press the orange button (No. 3) on top
of the backer.
4. To remove the control panel from the metal rail, please gently push and pull the backer.
(Indicator 4).
5. Take out the backer (Indicator 5), the control panel can be detached successfully.

4.1.2 Control Panel Setup

There are two installation ways:


(A). 1. Install the control panel on the wall or suitable
locations with screws.
2. Install the control panel on the metal rail.
(B). Fix metal rail on the wall with screws. (Optional)
(C). Press the orange button on top of control panel
(D). (E) Put control panel on the metal rail

5.2 RS-232 / RS-485 Selection (to PC)

z For RS-232 communication, please set JUMPER on RS-232 position.

5.3 Reader Power Configuration

z Set jumper JP11 to +12V for connection of +12V readers.


z Set jumper JP11 to +5V for connection of +5V readers.

NOTEThe readers power supply is provided by the control panels power supply. A
reader consumes averagely 200Ma power (please refer to the readers
specification.) Supply of power should increase with respect to transmission
distance and the numbers of readers installed. It is recommended to provide
a separate power supply for the reader. When the reader uses a separate
power supply, make sure the ground is connected with the control panel.

5.4 Relay NO / NC Output Configuration

5.5 Operation Setup

z Use reader with keypads for function key input.


z Please enter Master Code for configuration mode (default: 30191000).
z The OK LED on reader blinks, waiting for function key inputs. After function key
inputs, OK LED will be lit continuously (except for key 01 and 05).
z Function key 05 will delete all card numbers. Please be careful when using this
function.
z Function key 10 is for changing Master Code, the system will use the new Master
Code.
z Follow commends only support connecting with Hundure reader.
z RAC-2000PS will resume to ready status when idling for 30 seconds during
operation.

5.5.1 Function key 00 Change NODE ID

z Set DIP Switch NODE ID as 0, or this function will not activate.

5.5.2 Function key 01 Emergency Exit Control

5.5.5 Function key 05 Delete All Cards

5.5.6 Function key 10 Change MASTER CODE

5.5.7 Function key 99 System Initialization

1 Ready mode, the red LED of reader is lit.

2 Enter Default Master Code : 30191000(Enter  )

3 The green LED of reader blinks.

4 Enter 99 (Enter  )

5 Orange LED of reader lights.

Enter [0] for ignore, [1] for repair, [2] for refresh.
After entering [0] or [1], the red LED blinks four times and beeps four
times. RAC-2000P/PV/G automatically restarts and red LED of
6 reader is lit.
After entering [2]. The red and green LED blinks alternatively for 5
seconds and beeps once. RAC-2000P/PV/G automatically restarts
and red LED of reader is lit.
z When the hardware installation is complete, make sure to execute system
initialization to resume system back to default settings

Chapter 6 Testing

The above steps can be ignored if there is no keypad on reader.


Follow the steps below for hardware initialization.
Move JP12 JUMPER to the back of HW INITIAL. Restart the
HDP-100 and there will be continuous beep sound. Set JP12
JUMPER back to NORMAL and wait for 5 seconds. The HDP-100
will beep and complete hardware initialization.

Chapter 7 Troubleshooting

QThe power indicator (LED 4) on the control panel does not blink.
AKindly check if 12V power supply is connected to the power source. Verify if the power
polarity is correct and the power input is sufficient or not.

QDoor does not open after swipe card


A
1. Please check wire connection of reader and reader interface setup is correct.
2. Make sure reader ID is correct.
3. Please check if set the authorization and if the card number is correct.
4. Please check wire connect with lock.

QThe reader beeps once after swiping card. There is no other sound and door is not
open.

1. Please check wire connection between reader and control panel.
2. Make sure reader ID is correct.
3. Press RESET button of control panel and try to recover the connection.

QReader displays incorrect date and time.


A
1. Please check wire connection between reader and control panel.
2. Make sure reader ID is correct
3. Pres RESET button of control panel and try to recover the connection.
4. Please synchronization from the software.

QSometimes can access, sometimes can not access the door.


A
1. Make sure if access authorization setting is correct.
2. Authorization changed but doesnt upload to control panel, kindly upload all setting to
control panel again.

QCannot enter commend mode after input Master Code.

1. Please check wire connection of reader is correct.
2. Please check if Master Code is correct.

QForget Master Code.

1. Please connect with software and read Master Code back from the control panel.
2. Please initial the hardware. All the parameters will back to default value.

QDoor doesnt open after pressing exit button.


A
1. Make sure the exit button installed and wire connection is connected correctly.
2. Make sure the wire connection of electric door lock is connected correctly.

QDoor open generally but lock after swiping card.


AWrong door relay activate mode, please adjust the jumps and select suitable relay mode.

QSwiped door 1 reader but door 2 opens.

1. The wire of door relay is not connected correctly.
2. Wrong reader ID setup. Reader ID 1 (Outdoor) and 2 (Indoor) is for door 1, reader ID 3
(Outdoor) and 4 (Indoor) is for door 2.

QThe read range of reader is too short.


A
1. It is recommended to use separate linear direct current (not switching power)
2. If the reader is installed upon metallic object add proper thickness plastic separator on
back of reader for isolation and avoid interference.
3. The distance between two readers should be 1.5 times the read range to prevent radio
frequency interference from each other.

4. The readers are installed on the slender wall, add proper thickness plastic separator on
the back of readers or change install location for isolation and avoid interference.

QDoor opened after swiping card twice.


AThe distance between reader and control panel are too far or using fishbowl connection
way. Please upgrade cable specification and change connection way as daisy chain.

QThe door opens too long time or locks too quickly.


AKindly use software to adjust door relay activate time.

QNo warning sounds when door open overtime.

1. Please activate door sensor and set door sensor detecting time from the software.
2. Please check install location of door sensor is sufficient or not and the wire connection
is correct or not.

QNo alarm when external forces happened


A
1. Please activate door sensor and select alarm type from the software.
2. Please check install location of door sensor is sufficient or not and the wire connection
is connected correctly.
3. Please check wire connection of alarm relay is connected correctly.

QControl panel doesnt communicate with PC.

1. Please select RS-232 or RS-485 communication mode from jump 1~9.
2. Make sure the control pane ID is correct and unique.
3. Please check communication wire is connected correctly.
4. Please check power, wire connection and setting of converter are correct.
5. Make sure the com port selection of PC is correct.

z Upgrade the cable specification according to transmission distance.


z Upgrade the cable specification as per environmental interference factors.
z It is advisable to purchase cables with core-wires more than what Hundure
recommends, to reserve for future use.
z It is highly recommended to use shielded twisted pair wire for readers and
communication cable to increase transmission distance and interference
resistance ability.

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

We warrants this product against defect in material or workmanship for


1 year from the date of purchase. If such a defect is discovered within this warranty
limitation, contact your dealer for repair or replacement of your unit.

When returning the product, you must ship the product in its original packaging or
packaging that gives an equal degree of protection. This warranty becomes invalid if the
factory-supplied serial number has been removed or altered on the product.

This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or damage due to acts of God, accident,
misuse, abuse, negligence or modification of any part of the product. This warranty does
not cover damage due to improper operation or maintenance, connection to improper
equipment, or attempted repair by anyone other than .

In no event shall manufacturers liability exceed the price paid for the product from direct,
indirect, special, incidental, or consequential, damages resulting from the use of the
product, its accompanying software, or its documentation. Hundure makes no warranty
or representation expressed, implied, or statutory, with respect to its products, contents of
use of this documentation and all accompanying software, and specially disclaims its
quality, performance, merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. Hundure
reserves the right to revise or update its product, software or documentation without
obligation to notify any individual or entity.
