The Indian Removal act

The first section provides a description of what the Indian act entails which
provides the exchange of lands with Indians residing in United States
territories and for their removal west of the Mississippi River. It provides the
president of the US exchange land with the Indians living any exchange
made the US will forever secure and guaranty to the Indians and any
successors after them, how if they become extinct land goes back to the us.
It also grants the president of the US to have the removal, or settle in
another part of land; furthermore, give protection to nation or tribe at their
new settlement. The next section, Cherokee Removal section states that the
Cherokee tribe was always compliant with the agreements done with the
united states. The treaties made with the Cherokee tribe would usually
benefit the white people, theyre trying to maintain the land that was
founded by them, and that treaties made will give white Americans
privileges. The sections where Andrew Jackson gave his Indian removal
speech to congress announces the new policy that will be established,
removing the Indians beyond the where the White Americans have settled,
will give them an advantage, and puts an end to all possible dangers of
collisions between authorities between government and Indians. In general
what they all share is that they will White Settlers will benefit greatly from
the removal of the Indians and primarily are thinking for themselves only.

David Walker Appeals

This an excerpt from David Walker expressing his observations of how black
folks are treated in America. From his observations, he said we, coloured
people of these United States,
are the most degraded, wretched, and abject set of beings that ever lived
since the world began. It sheds some light to how black people were though
of then, just because of the color of their skin. He goes on mentioning that
American call them ungrateful, but brings up the point, to be grateful for?
Murdering their loved ones, for incarcerating them with shackles while
beating them; the White Americans think they are foolish. He states that this
America belongs to them as much as they do to the White Americans, they
put amounts blood sweat and tears. He goes on by expressing that hes
when they are treated as men, they can become friends, and slowly erasing
the past and starting a new future. He then goes on to mentioning the
Declaration of independence and its ironic that the founding fathers stated
that all men are created equal but here they White Americans are being
cruel and inhumane treating the black people as if they were lesser beings.

The Confessions of Nat Turner

A confession by Nat Turner where he discussed the actions he imposed on
the White Americans. He started by murdering his own master first and going
along to other homes around the area and doing the same. In addition, he
would let free the slaves that were shackled and have them join in the
rebellion against the White Americans. His group slowly grew throughout the
night making sure that they visited and killed every individual there including
women and children. While heading towards another home they were
intervened by a group of white men both parties shooting each other, Turner
retreated with some of his men, to realize that they had vanished to which
then lead him go out and hid for 6 weeks in the woods until he was
discovered, arrested, and convicted for lives taken.

The Liberator
The liberator was a newspaper published by William Garrison, he expressed
what his goal of writing the paper was to exploit slavery to the people in
hopes of opening their minds, and potentially changing or abolishing it all
together. He quotes from the declaration of independence hat all men are
created equal, and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights-
among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness," and wanting to
slave population the right to vote as the stated that men are created equal
and thus should have the right to vote. He says that he wants to tell the truth
no matter how it may come out, he wants his voice to be heard. I interpreted
it as propagation to stand up and rebel or standing for what they deserve.
