Dear Parents Greetings!
Inside Time never stops. It comes and goes. One more academic year is on the
verge of completion, with the examinations in the near future. It is at this

PRIMARY SECTION
CONGRATULATIONS
to all the winners!
Students and Teachers of D.A.V. Public School, Thane made us proud by winning
certificates and medals in various categories like Karate Tournament, Unified
Council English Olympiad and Poem Recitation & Essay Writing at Mani Bhavan.
SECONDARY SECTION
STD X FAREWELL.
The school organized an unforgettable Farewell programme for the outgoing tenth
graders in its school premises. The school premises wore a festive look as uniforms
had made way for suits and colourful dresses. The programme was ushered in by a
prayer and lighting of the lamp. It was a moment of fun, joy and entertainment as
the atmosphere was lightened through a series of cultural performance, interactive
activities and games. A lucky draw was conducted to select the Fortunate Boy and
Girl from each section and they were given prizes. The most exciting event of the
day was the selection of Master and Miss DAV. After a series of rounds, Master
Manav Kapadnis and Miss Sushmitha Subramanian were adjudged as Master and Miss
DAV of 2016-17. It was a memorable moment for both of them for having won the
titles.
It was really a moment of varied emotions-joy, excitement, laughter and the sorrow
of leaving the school as students prep up to take the next step into a new phase.

ACTIVITIES
Good Luck Day for Students..
All Set To Enter a New Phase.
D.A.V.Public School, Thane organized a Good Luck Day on 25th Feburary, 2017 in its
school premises. The main objective of the day was to invoke and seek the blessings of
the Almighty for the students of class X, who are appearing for their board
examinations.
Shri. Arjun Singh, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Thane graced the occasion. The day
began with the lighting of the lamp followed by Gayatri Mantra. Keeping in mind the
age old tradition and following the principles of Arya Samaj, a Hawan was performed
by the students and teachers which was followed by Bhajans. It was truly a divine
experience for everyone present there.
After the Hawan, the Chief Guest Shri. Arjun Singh encouraged the students and
stressed on the importance of hard work. He also shared some valuable guidelines to
be followed by the students while writing the examination. Ms.Simmi Juneja, the
Principal highlighted some special measures to the students to relieve them from their
anxiety, tension and stress before and during the examination.
The chief Guest, Principal, Co-Ordinators and teachers showered their blessing and
good wishes on the students for their best performance in the board examinations and
also in their future endeavor.
The students who brought laurels to the school by their stupendous performance in
various competitions at city, state, district and national level were felicitated. The
most exciting event of the day was the conferring of the Best Student of the Year
Award. After the distribution of prasad, the students were issued their hall tickets of
the examination.
The students felt fortunate to get an opportunity to pray together and have the
blessing s of the Almighty and their well wishers. It was another memorable day as the
students stepped out of the school with hope, confidence and determination to come
out in flying colours in the forthcoming board examinations.

90, 000/-) in Rhythmic Gymnastics organized in Allahabad held on February 5, 2017.
Shruti Mahadeshwar of class IX bagged Silver Medal and Cash Prize (Rs. 20, 000/-) in Rhythmic
Gymnastics organized in Allahabad held on February 5, 2017.
Aakash Wagle of class IX bagged First Prize and Trophy in Rapid Chess Tournament organized by
Visionisys Hus & Play Chess Academy held on February 5, 2017.
Charvi Poojari of class IX bagged Bronze Medals in National Level Athletic Competition organized by
SGFI held on February 18, 2017.
CULTURAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Anway Mhaskar of class IX won First Prize in Quiz Competition organized by Rotary Youth
Leadership Award held on February 5, 2017.
