(>, <, or =) and words (greater than, less
than, or equal to).

Activity This activity will help students get involved


in putting together their own math
problems. It will help the student understand
the concept of comparing two whole
numbers between 0 and 99. The class will
begin by the teacher explaining what
greater than, less than, and equal to mean.
The teacher will then give examples for the
students to write in their math journal. When
this is complete, the teacher will ask
students to make up 5 of their own
problems. These are the 5 problem the
students will use http://edu.glogster.com/ to
demonstrate their knowledge of
understanding. Gloster is an online website
Technology http://edu.glogster.com/ is the technology
that will be used in the lesson. The students
have a free 7-day trail.
Technology Directions for Use 1) Click on the internet button
2) Type in the URL: http://edu.glogster.com/
3) When you get to the website, click the
green GET STARTED button
4) When it asks what the account type is,
click student.
5) Fill in the information requested
a) Educator code: 9EAC2F
b) Username: first initial then last name
(example for John Smith: jsmith) if the
username is taking, put numbers
behind it (jsmith1)
c) Password: use your lunch id
6) Then you will be asked to enter your First
and Last name.
7) Now it is time to start making your Glog
(poster). You can either create a new one
or get a layout that is already made.
8) Once the template is up, you will now
begin to work by making a title and
putting your name at the top.
9) Then you will start to make your Glog
(poster), however, you would like as long
as it meets the requirements.
10) When you have checked over your
work and you are finished, hit the green
SAVE button.
11) You will make sure the Glog name is
the same as your title.
12) Make math the category; make
other the topic
13) Click the grade you are in (second)
14) Make sure the word FINISHED is
clicked
15) Finally, hit SAVE
16) Click the word DASHBOARD
17) Then log out!
