A Day in the Life of a UAE Primary School Science Teacher.

Time Activity Notes


7:30- Attend the Assembly The teacher attends the assembly and
8:00 arrange the students in a line.

8:00- Prepare the activities The teacher prepares the activities for
8:30 for the day grade 1, 3 and 4.

8:30- Discuss with me the I used this time to discuss with her my
9:00 lesson plan lesson plan and the activities that Im
going to give the students next week.
9:00- Teach grade 4 The lesson was about waterfall as a

is about drawing the waterfall then write

10:00- Duty to observe The teacher everyday has a duty to

them to not run. Also, she stops 2 boys
because they were fighting.
10:30- Teach grade 1 The lesson was about sun and moon. The
11:30 students activity was to draw the sun and the
moon and write the above each one its
name.
11:30- Teach grade 3 The teacher revise with them about
1:30 students weathering, erosion and deposition by
giving them a quick quiz then
worksheets.
1:30- Meeting with science In this meeting, the science teachers
2:15 coordinator and were discussing about next week
teachers planning.
2:15- Check students I helped her in checking the worksheets
3:00 worksheets and put and putting marks on students works.
