Things to do
There are 4 Parts of this Task:
1. Preparing a Video Advertisement (for Television Commercial).

2. Preparing a Print Advertisement (for News Paper / Billboard).

3. Preparing a hard copy report on the theoretical frameworks of the


Video and Print
Advertisement.

4. Presentation and display of the Video and Print Advertisement.

Instructions for Preparing the Video Advertisement (for


Television Commercial):
Select a particular company/product/brand within the given category
(given by lottery) to prepare the advertisement.
Prepare a video advertisement targeting the biggest traditional festival
of Bangladesh Pohela Boishak to attract your target customers.
Use special promotional attractions/offers/incentives for the target
customers based on the festival / occasion to motivate them towards
purchase your products.
All the group members should directly participate / perform in the
video shoot as actors and/or performers (Prepare your script in a way
that can provide space for every single group members).

You can also hire additional members for performing in the


advertisement or helping to prepare it (if required).

Time duration of the TVC: Approximately 40 Seconds to 2 minutes


(Maximum).

Instructions for Preparing Print Advertisement (for News


Paper and Billboard):
Prepare a print version of the video advertisement you have prepared.
Design the print advertisement targeting the biggest traditional festival
of Bangladesh Pohela Boishak to attract your target customers.
[Make sure 5 components (structure of advertisement) of
advertisements] in your output].
Use special promotional attractions/ offers/ incentives for the target
customers based on the festival / occasion to motivate them towards
purchase your products.
Poster size: Standard art paper (But you can resize it as per the
concept, design of your advertisement and the selected products).
You can also use additional materials like cork sheets, ribbons,
handprints, or any other decoration materials to make it colorful,
lucrative and attractive to the audiences.

Instructions for Preparing the Hard Copy Report:


Explain the details (characteristics including their buying behavior) of
your Target Customers/Audiences (B2B and B2C).
List down and give details about the major Attributes (USP) of the
Product for which you have developed the TVC and Print
Advertisement. And explain how those attributes can solve customers
problem or make benefits?

Explain the Objective/(s) of your TVC and Print Advertisement.


Point out the Message Content Strategy (use of
Rational/Emotional/Moral Appeals) you have used to design the content
of your TVC and Print Advertisement. And explain the rationale of using
those appeal/(s) to express your messages to the target customers.

Point out the Message Structure Strategy (use of


Transformational/Informational appeal) you have used to translate your
messages in the TVC and Print Advertisement. And explain the
consistency of the structure and the product attributes.
Illustrate the Promotional Attractions/Offers/Incentives you
have used in the TVC and Print Advertisement to encourage the
customers for buying your products. And clarify how those offers can
change the attitude of your target customers?
Give a brief idea about the Media Planning including the selection
of TV channel/Newspaper/Bill Boards location, TV spot/Newspaper
page, communication scheduling etc. separately.
Explain the Communication Budget Method followed by you/your
organization and show an estimated budget (Approximate percentage
of costing, area wise IMC expenses allocation) for the
advertisements/marketing communication.
Illustrate the Tools of Measuring Results you want to apply to
understand the affectivity of your TVC, Print Advertisement and other
marketing communication.

Note:
Total Marks for the Assignment: 30 (10 for Video
Advertisement, 10 for Print Advertisement, and 10 for
Hard Copy Submission and Presentation)

It is a group work, but Individual


Marking will be followed based on everyones
performances in the TVC and class presentation.
