PLANNING:

CHARACTERS:

Tom Smith:

Tom, aged 16 is attending College and is studying Engineering at a high level through
gaining 3 A-Levels. The high level of education Tom is at reflects how wise and clever he
is. Tom is the son of Jenifer Ann Smith and Robert Daniel Smith, and being the only
child he is dependent throughout his everyday life. The reason to being very reliant on
himself is due to his parents working a lot and not being around as much as he would
like, however on weekends him and his dad go to support their beloved Arsenal where
they go to every match possibly together which shows the strong bond they
have.

Actor:

Sam Moncur, who is aged 17 attending Harlington Upper School and is


midway through year 12 and is studying Media Studies, Psychology&
Business Studies. Outside of school Sam works as a waiter at Yummies in
Mill Hill- which is surrounding London which is where he wants to work in
later life (London) which shows how ambitious he is.

PROPS:

During the opening scene the first prop that will be a bunch of flowers
which will create a sense of brightness into an emotional scene as
the flowers connoting beauty.

Another prop used within the opening sequence is a picture frame


which is shown the end of the clip which shows a picture of his mum
and dad who sadly passed away, however the prop is used to allow
the audience to see what they looked like.
LOCATIONS:

Graveyard- Types of Shots: Long/Mid- Used to show the


natural scenery that the graveyard holds. Close-up-
Shows the facial expressions on Toms face, which shows
tears bearing down Toms face which creates the
audience to sympathise.

Where is the graveyard based?

Barton Le Clay

St. Nicholas' Church has played a central role in the life of the village of Barton-le-Clay
for 800 years. It is located at the foot of the lovely Barton Hills which form the northern
most extremities of the Chilterns.

COSTUMES:

Graveyard Scene: The opening scene will consist of


formal clothing due to the scene being based around at
funeral. The typical type of clothing for a funeral is formal
which creates a sense of respectability to the situation
which is taking place in the scene. There is a total of 9
actors including Tom himself and they will all be in the
black colour theme which a typical funeral contains.
