Classroom Technology Contract
In order to protect the safety of students as well as our technology equipment,
its important to follow a few rules and procedures. The choice to violate these requirements will result in the loss of your technology privileges for a given period of time.
Hands need to be clean when using any classroom technology device.
Food and drinks are prohibited in the computer lab. All technology should be treated with RESPECT. Students should use them gently and for educational purposes only! Students may NOT change the settings on any device. Students will respect the files of others by refraining from using, altering, reading, or deleting another students file(s). If a file is left open on any device, the student should alert the teacher or save and close the file. Students may ONLY use apps or websites in which the teacher has instructed them to use. Students are NOT to check personal email or browse the internet freely for personal entertainment purposes. The use of a camera, video, or microphone on any device must be utilized for educational purposes only. All technology should be properly turned off and put away safely prior to class dismissal.
When permitted to listen to music on a personal device I will:
Use appropriate sound level so others cannot hear my music.
Only play music that is school appropriate and free from explicit language or content. Refrain from dancing and singing to avoid disrupting the learning environment.
