An experienced PvPers

request.
The document is written by PoisonousKiller in the aim of making PvP (Player
vs Player) a more active place. As can be seen throughout the past few
weeks/months, PvP is slowly becoming less and less active. In order to
better incorporate the competitive aspect of the game, I will be suggesting a
few things. I am aware that the coding abilities of this server are limited, but
implementing these changes should not be too complex. (I have no coding
background but I assume these are all implementable).
1. Removal of some PvP maps
2. The re-vamp of the PVP NPC portals.
3. Implementing PvP events
a. Drilling event (In PvP)
b. NPC spawn event (In PvP)
c. Boss spawn event (In PvP)
d. Exclusive monster spawn event (In PvP)
e. Leveling up in PvP (Not sure of coding abilities will be able to
implement this)
4. The repair of Soul Orb (glitched skill)
5. Banning low level characters from entering the maps
6. Implementing GvG events
a. GvG matchmaking
7. Summary

Removal of some PvP maps.

As you may/or may not know, Trickster has 6 different PvP maps. The
standard Battle Field of Desert and Battle Field of Garden, however we now
have 2x Skirmish (One in Phantom School other in PvP arena) a 1v1 area
(The one Don Giuvanni teleports you to) and a Baseball field. These are a lot
of PvP fields for a game that has barely any PvPers left. The idea is to not
spread out the maps too thin so that people are scattered all over these
maps. I suggest that we keep 1 map of each. 1 Skirmish map, 1 (1v1 map)
and 1 Normal map.
As can be seen with the picture on the next map, each NPC will send you to
a PvP map. One skirmish, the other a normal pvp field and the other a 1
versus 1 field. This means a total of 3 fields. This will be straightforward to
all players who wish to fight.
The re-vamp of the PVP NPC portals.
As mentioned earlier, we have a numerous of PvP maps, each have their
own specific location of access. This makes it very confusing for players, as
most are not even aware that these maps exist. We also have 2 Colosseums.
I suggest we cap the number of Colosseums to 1. Event Hall Colosseum
seems to be the more complex and new colosseum so I suggest that we
keep that one. Guild vs Guild can also be added in the same colosseum.

Implementing PvP events

As of now, we should have 1 colosseum, 3 PVP maps and 1 GVG NPC. All
located in the same map. (Instead of all on different maps). The next step is
to give a reason for players to want to play competitive. Here I list 5 event
ideas, but we can implement a lot more if we get creative.
a. Drilling event.
This is an event where you can drill a certain valuable item. The idea of this
event is to encourage both PvPers and PvEers to go to the PVP and start
drilling in order to obtain cool items. People may fight each other if they
wish to, making it harder to drill the valuable items. The drop rate of the
items depends purely on what the item is (how valuable it is). If the item is
impossible to drill, then no one will attempt the event. If the item is too easy
to drill, the market will crash. The drilling depth should be kept as it
currently is in Battle Field Garden. This allows for players to drill items more
quickly. (lowering the chances of being killed while drilling)

Ideas for the valuable item and their chances of being dropped:
GM Special Ticket (1/50)
4G ticket (1/40)
Special ticket exchangeable for elixirs or JP stones
Hair dye ticket (1/20)
Item Pack
Adamantite/Alexandrite (1/15)
(Any other valuable rewards)
b. NPC spawn event.
This event is where a NPC (any random NPC) is spawned in the middle of the
normal PvP map. The NPC spawns only once every 30minutes or every hour.
The first person to speak with the NPC receives a gift. Once again, the gift
should be valuable enough for players outside PvP to want to participate in
the event.
The text of the NPC should be sort of long, so that low level characters
(below lv 20) cannot simply resurrect and accept the reward. Once a
character is killed, the conversation with NPC is cancelled and character will
once again have to engage in a conversation. This will make players fight to
be the last man standing and accept the reward. Once again, rewards can
range between anything as long as they are valuable.
c. Monster spawn event.
This has been done several times in Trickster, in fact it was done 2
maintenance ago with the Ed boss. The idea is to spawn bosses in PvP that
have the same drop rate of uniques as the normal bosses, only now you do
not need to do the trials. At certain times of the day you could have a Boss
Madness where A LOT of bosses are spawned at once.
The reason why Ed spawn was not successful is for a few reasons. First of
all, Ed is very hard to defeat without a guardian. (Guardians cant be
summoned in pvp). Second of all, his damage was much to high, it would
drain about 150k HP within 6-10 seconds. (regardless of your HV or LK). It
would spawn a lot other strong monsters. The reward for killing the boss was
extremely useless.
d. Exclusive monster spawn event.
Much like the boss event idea, the same can be done with regular monsters.
These monsters will drop a ticket. Once collected a number of tickets you
can trade it for something fun.
10 tickets = 100k cheque
20 tickets = 1m cheque
25 tickets = hair dye
50 tickets = 5m cheque (be creative with the rewards)
e. Leveling up by PvP.
Not sure if the coders are flexible enough to implement this, but imagine
Skirmish PvP or 1v1 PvP granting a certain amount of EXP as an event. This
is not permanent but simply an event that states that every player you kill
below your lv you earn 0.2% EXP, same level you earn 1% EXP, and above
your level you earn 1.5% EXP. (Something along these lines?)

The repair of Soul Orb glitch

As I am sure you are aware, Soul Orb (mage beginners skill) does an
enormous amount of damage when the right AP/MA combination is found. I
have seen mages easily do 200k damage+ with that skill. This is obviously a
glitch, as a beginners skill shouldnt be this powerful. Additionally the
cooldown of the skill is ridiculously fast, and the casting time is almost as
fast as cure. Very overpowered if you ask me.

Banning low level characters from entering pvp

Characters under the level 20 have the ability to resurrect once fainted.
These characters are currently also allowed to enter the PvP area. This does
not seem correct as they will never be able to die (they can always
resurrect) and they can cast skills such as Skunk Pouch and Cure.

Implementing GvG events

At last but not least, we have another form of competitive play called the
GvG. This has been dead for quite some time now, but it can be revived. If
an official event is made on the forum where guilds can sign up their guild
and then a match making program will determine which guild will battle
which guild. The guild master will have to enrol at least 3 members and
maximum of 10 members (in order to prevent strong players to jump
between guilds simply to fight). Once the guilds have to GvG, each guild
may only use 3 of the 10 names that they signed up.
Members of the loser guild is awarded participation 1x 1m galder check
per member
1st place is awarded prize 1x 5mil galder check per member
2nd place is awarded prize 3x 1m galder check per member
3rd place is awarded prize 2x 1m galde check per member
This will also promote strong guilds to the rest of the server, as members
will want to be part of the winning guild.

SUMMARY
I am not asking for all of this to be done, but these are some serious
suggestions to make PvP active again. I believe that the PvP community has
been ignored for much too long, and now that it is almost dead, we must
revive it! It would be nice to see every other maint at least 1 PvP or 1 GvG
event. If advertised well on forum, trickster page and facebook, I am sure
that a lot of old members will try and come back to the server.
