Pretty Rubik S Cube Patterns With Algorithms

The document provides algorithms for creating various patterns on a Rubik's Cube beyond just solving it, including the Superflip, checkerboard, snake patterns, cross, cube in a cube, and more. It gives the algorithms to make each pattern as well as preview images for some of the patterns. The goal is to provide new challenges for those bored of solving the cube the standard way by trying to recreate the patterns without looking at the algorithms.

Pretty Rubiks Cube patterns

with algorithms
Are you tired of solving your Rubiks Cube always the same way or are
you looking for a new challenge? Try to reproduce or invent some pretty
patterns! In this section Im going to present some of my favorite Rubik
s Cube patterns algorithms with preview images, like the
famous Superflip, the checkerboard, the snake patterns, the cross, the
cube in a cube and other nice motives. If youve got bored solving the
Rubiks Cube always the same way and youre looking for a new
challenge try to reach one of these patterns without watching the
algorithms supplied.

The Superflip
U R2 F B R B2 R U2 L B2 R U D R2 F R L B2 U2 F2
The SuperFlip is the most scrambled Rubiks Cube pattern. Every piece is
where its supposed to be but the edges are oriented wrong. Computer programs
need the highest amount of steps (20) to solve this state.

The Checkerboard
F B2 R D2 B R U D R L D F R2 D F2 B:
Corner pieces are in place, oriented the correct way, but the edges are shifted to
the the adjacent face to form this nice-looking design.

The easy checkerboard

The most simple algorithm, it only takes three double layer moves to make it.
