HOW TO: Update Your EKI Utility Correctly

To update your EKI utility correctly, remove any mapped virtual COM ports in the existing utility, uninstall the "Advantech Serial Device Server Configuration Utility" through the Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, reboot your PC, then install the new version of the EKI utility.

1. Please remove all virtual COM ports youve mapped in EKI utility.

2. Go to the Control Panel of the Windows and choose Add/Remove Programs

3. Remove Advantech Serial Device Server Configuration Utility


4. Reboot your PC before installing the new version EKI utility.

5. Now, you can install the new EKI utility.
