Output Equation of DC Machines.

The document provides details on the design considerations for DC machines, including: 1. It lists the key specifications that should be provided when ordering a DC machine, such as output power, voltage, speed, temperature rise, cooling type, and enclosure type. 2. It derives an output equation that relates the output power of a DC machine to its main dimensions of armature diameter and core length. 3. It discusses selecting optimal values for specific electric and magnetic loadings to minimize the size of the machine while maximizing output. 4. It describes how to separate the diameter and length variables from the output equation to determine the actual machine dimensions.
