Family Activity
(Measuring Length in the Metric System)
Work with a family member to answer the following: Write the unit length,

millimetre, centimetre, meter or kilometre that you would use to measure each of

the following items. Then estimate each measure. When you can, use a

centimetre ruler or a meterstick to test the accuracy of your estimate.
