In the investigation conducted by Kidapawan City police officers in the alleged Parricide.
The investigators gather more relevant information that can proved the identity of the
alleged suspect JOED P. DEQUIT. Interview conducted on Jerry C. Gayat, 47 years old,
a barangay tanod who is on a patrol around Makalagot St. May nakita kaming itim na
SUV ng kasama ko sa tapat ng bahay ng biktima, may lalaking bumababa sa SUV,
sakto din na binuksan ng biktima yung gate ng bahay nila, mukhang nagkasagutan sila
at bigla nalang sinuntok sya ng lalaki sa tiyan at natumba siya, tapos bumalik yung
lalaki sa sasakyan, parang may kinuha siya, binalikan niya yung babae, tinakpan niya
ng unan yung mukha nito at saka niya ito pinagbabaril, pagkatapos nun, dali-dali niyang
isinarado ang gate nila bigla nalang siyang umalis. Pinuntahan ko kaagad si kapitan
para tawagan ang mga pulis, samantalang humingi naman ng tulong yung kasama ko

The investigators located the suspects whereabouts at 493 Sinsuat St. Poblacion
Kidapawan City, identified as JOED P. DEQUIT, saying that he can provide a strong alibi
for his innocence and that he has nothing to do with the commission of the crime as he
quoted Hindi ako ang pumatay sa asawa ko dahil ng mga oras na yun hindi ako umuwi
sa bahay, ditto ako natulog sa pinapatapos naming bahay, sigurado akong nagkamali
lang sila at hindi lang ako ang may sasakyang itim na SUV (Hereto attached the copy

IV. CONCLUSION:
12. That on or about 11:00 in the evening of February 9, 2017 at 390
Makalagot St. Brgy. Sudapin Kidapawan City. This office relied on the testimonies of the
witnesses particularly Jerry C. Gayat, having witnessed the shooting incident as well to
Joselito G. Bustamante who saw the suspect flee. Both of them positively identified the
suspect JOED P. DEQUIT as the person who shot the victim, Cassandra. The said
suspect armed with [.9mm] handgun pistol with intent to kill, did then and there willfully,
unlawfully and feloniously attack, assault and shot CASSANDRA A. DEQUIT, his
legitimate wife, thereby inflicting gunshot wound upon the latter, which directly caused
her death. Parricide case was charged to JOED P. DEQUIT under Article 246 of the
RPC with all the elements presented as follows:
1. A person is killed;
2. The deceased is killed by the accused;
3. The deceased is the father, mother, or child, whether legitimate or
illegitimate other ascendant or other descendant, or the legitimate spouse
of the accused.
V. RECOMMENDATION:
13. That based on the foregoing facts presented the culprit identified as JOED
P. DEQUIT, 37 years old, legitimate husband of the victim and a resident of 390
Makalagot St. Brgy. Sudapin, Kidapawan City shall be deemed liable for the crime of
Parricide under Article 246 of the Revise Penal Code for killing his legitimate wife
Cassandra Alonzo Dequit, 35 days old, and a resident of the aforementioned place. The
prosecution witness is recommended to attend the court proceeding in order for the
victim to have justice.
VI. REMARKS
15. The case shall now referred to the Kidapawan City Prosecutors office in
order to verify the case file thereof. The suspect shall be penalize if proven guilty upon
final judgment and disposition of the prosecution thereof.
