Makassar
Independence day of Indonesia in Makassar is held in Aryaduta Hotel Makassar. The
management of Aryaduta Hotel celebrate the independence day by making competitions. A
week before 17 august 2016 the hotel management had start making the competitions which
are searching for Pokemon, tug of war, table tennis, putting pencil into a bottle and etc. what
special is that the competitors have to use a Daster.
what is daster?

Daster is a light, loose-fitting sleeping that is used by woman in Indonesia usually they are made
of batik.
Continue about the independence day, on 17 august they made a flag rising ceremony as usual
after that they have aerobic in purpose to make Indonesian remember about their health and
they will work out often. At night they made a stand (bazzar) of food. there are about 30 stand
which sell different type of traditional food so the visitors can buy the food that they want beside
that they also sell souvenirs for tourist and they also have a kind of miniatures of Indonesian
heroes and also Indonesian traditional houses and they also explain about wayang. The
purpose of aryadute hotel management do this is that Indonesian knows more about their
country and the tourist can learn and experience eating Indonesian food.

Papua
Independence day of Indonesia in Papua (Jayapura) is celebrated by the flag rising
ceremonyafter that carried out with the traditional dance of Indonesia from jayapura it
self and from other cities as well. The purpose of doing this is to know that Indonesia is
rich is culture and they also want people to know more about indoensia not only from
where they come beside that the purpose is also for people from other part of Indonesia
to blend in and build a solidarity with each other.

Aceh
Independence day of Indonesia in Aceh is celebrated under the sea, what does it means?
They have a flag rising ceremony under the sea, the person that can join is only the person that
has diving licence. People who dont have the diving licence can only watch through a video.
The flag of Indonesia is putted under the sea 15 meters under the sea.
