Check for chemical contamination damage, recognized by


6 weakening or softening of the webbing so that in extreme instances
the surfaces fibers can be plucked or rubbed-off as powder.

Check sling eyes for damage to the stitching, cuts and general

damage.

8 Check seams for damage and deterioration.

Check for friction burns or brittle and shiny patches caused by

overheating.
