Pick a card and think about the date. Consider
generally how science and technology will be integrated within the future society. On a sheet of paper with your names and the date you picked record your groups thoughts about the following:
1. Imagine a few developments in at least two
specific sciences (or maybe a new science), such as key questions and/or discoveries that will engage the minds and activities of scientists. Consider how these sciences address key needs of specific groups within society. 2. Imagine a few developments in at least two specific technologies (or maybe a new technology), such as important breakthroughs and/or inventions that will engage the minds and activities of specialists and/or the masses. Consider how these technologies address key needs of specific groups within society. 3. Present your future to the class in some creative, dramatic way. 4. Discuss the reasons behind your choices and consider from what contemporary context your future arises. In other words, how does it connect to you today?
