1.2 Interior landscapes.
a. Mountain landscapes:
-Mountains:

-Mountain ranges: Lots of mountains close together.


-Mountain system: A group of mountain ranges.
-Hillocks: They are not very high and they are rounded in shape.
-Hills: They are similar to mountains but they are not as high.
-Massif: This is a group of old corroded mountains.
b. Flat landscapes:

-They have several types of landforms:

Plains: Large areas of flat land. Sometimes, it is called a fertile plain.

Plateau: Flat land higher than the land around it is.

Valley: Flat land that is between mountains.

Gorge: Flat land that is lower than the land around it.
