Quality Control Department:

1. Quality Department Head


Provides leadership and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day test
preparation and execution activities, including resource scheduling, team
communications and status reporting as well as promoting and overseeing
use of established best practices, policies, and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that all managers, process owners and supervisors
develop and maintain their part of the quality management system.
Monitors and advises on how the system is performing, which may often
include the publication of statistics regarding company performance against
set measures.
Ensuring that customer requirements and expectations have been accurately
identified and that the organization is meeting or exceeding customer
expectations.

2. Quality Control Manager


The quality control manager position develops, implements and manages
quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of
advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established
standards, customer specifications and production goals). The position
supervises a team of quality control inspectors.
Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate
(and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high
productivity and high technical integrity.
Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine
standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished
products.
Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going
quality control objectives.
Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other
plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production
cycle.
Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and
reporting processes.
Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
Create and direct environmental test functions and applications.
Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.

A. Incoming Quality Control

Ensures that IQC Operators conduct inspections according to approved


procedures/specifications.
Audits inspection documentation for compliance and makes the final
disposition for the materials.
Schedules and supervises IQC Operator activities.
Directs the training for IQC Operators
Supervises and coordinates Yearly Inspection of Retain Samples.
Tracks the status of incoming materials, ensures computer
databases/worksheets are updated and keeps QA Manager and other
appropriate departments informed of inspection status.
Conducts quality investigations for non-conforming product and recommends
corrective action / preventative action (CAPA) plan.
Reviews/revises department standard operating procedures (SOP) and master
specifications for accuracy and conformance with
regulatory/vendor/compendia/other requirements.

B. Line Quality Control

Lead, motivate and manage the quality inspection team in shop floor to
guarantee the product and process quality by a proper way;
Guide and train the inspection team to enhance the qualification;
Trouble Shooting for the quality problems in shop floor with assembly and
supplier quality team;
Lessons learned and preventive activities to high risk quality issues;
Production line quality related data analysis by using statistical methods;
Coordinate process analysis and quality improvement based on production
data recording and analysis

C. In Process Quality Control

Verification of the production plan.


Inspection of function, size and measurement.
Inspection of the packing process and related labels.
Inspection of the storage process of the products.
Inspection of workmanship appearance.
Inspection of reliability and safety.

D. Final Quality Control


Control of finished product in terms of quality with our full responsibility for
the final result of the work done
Improves the quality of products and helps eliminate unexpected costs
associated with complaints from end users.
Inspect finished products that would have to go through routine test, random
test and type test that can be qualified.

3. Quality Assurance Manager


Determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures,
standards and/or specifications
Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met
Setting customer service standards
Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers
Investigating and setting standards for quality/health and safety
Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both
national and international level
Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems and
procedures
Writing management/technical reports and customers charters
Determining training needs
Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality
Directing objectives to maximize profitability
Recording, analyzing and distributing statistical information
Monitoring performance
Supervising technical or laboratory staff

A. Source (Supplier) Quality Assurance


Develop a global supplier documents management system and integrate with
Dawn Regulatory raw material information, where necessary
Manage supplier pre-shipment sample analysis results of identified raw
materials
Manage and maintain the supplier documents stored in the global supplier
documents database
Trend supplier non-compliance to required information
Assess ingredient risk & supplier performance non-conformances
Assure the correct supplier information acquired.
Respond to requests for supplier documents and interface with key
stakeholders to acquire
Review supplier submitted documents for required information and resolve
discrepancies

B. Document Control Center


Collect and maintain files of the latest revision level documentation
necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing
processes.
Timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate
users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution.
Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast
retrieval of documents.
Perform clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary.

C. Process Quality Assurance


Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to
provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

D. Final Quality Assurance


Ensure the unit has gone through and passed all the manufacturing or test
process and is in good quality.
Comprises administrative and procedural activities implemented in a quality
system so that requirements and goals for a product, service or activity will
be fulfilled.
Check the quality of all systems on the production line, staff training and
quality monitoring.
