PUMA T3-plus
The latest Dual Mode TETRA Handheld from SELEX Communications the PUMA
T3-plus is a high performance and top quality hand set designed for users relying
on mission critical communications
Audio
PUMA T3-plus's new 1W loudspeaker, together with the high
power audio amplifier, supplies an undistorted high quality
audio signal to guarantee intelligibility in all environmental
conditions.
MAIN FUNCTIONALITIES
Multislot operations
The PUMA T3-plus provides for multi-slot data transmission up
to 4 slots, allowing the maximum TETRA data rate capacity, to
support a wide range of data applications such as file transfer,
database interrogation and image transmission, both in circuit
and IP packet data mode.
Simultaneous Voice and Data transmission can be carried out
using different timeslots.
Secure Communications
In order to protect the critical speech and/or data
communications from potential eavesdroppers PUMA-T3-plus,
in TETRA mode supports a high degree of communication
security through adoption of: Authentication, dynamic key Air
Interface encryption, and End-to-End encryption. Beside the
TETRA standard E2E encryption, user specific algorithms for
E2E encryption can be supported.
Man-down switch
PUMA T3-plus is equipped with an internal "Man-down" switch
that allows detection of the angle between the longitudinal axis
of the radio and the vertical axis. The radio can be configured
to send a message or to launch automatically a predefined call Broadcast calls
in case of a man-down detection.
Priority and Emergency calls
PABX, PSTN, PDN Interconnection
Dual Mode Direct Mode Operation (also with Repeater and Gateway)
PUMA T3-plus is the only TETRA hand-set on the market that Short Data Service (status/text messages)
can also operate as conventional FM radio equipment. The Localization Services
PUMA T3-plus can be instantly switched between conventional End-to-End Encryption
analogue and TETRA mode. This ability together with the TETRA Supplementary Services
extended switching band-width of the PUMA T3-plus allow a
Up to 4 time slots transmission data calls
soft migration from analogue UHF to TETRA services and
interoperability with legacy technology. Single and multi slot Circuit Data services
Single and multi slot IP Packet Data services
The main features supported in conventional analogue mode
are: Dynamic key "Air interface Encryption"
Man-down switch
Channel spacing of 12.5 kHz and 25 kHz
CTCSS tone squelch
