Guidelines for the layout of poster presentations

Format for the poster should be A0, i.e.: 841 mm x 1189 mm.

Well supply you at the check-in with push pins to fasten your materials to the
display boards and inform you about the place to put it.

Some tips for making your poster more appealing:

Keep in mind that youre trying to draw an audience from 8 to 10 feet

away.
Create a prominent title for the presentation we recommend using 250-
500 mm (1-2 inch) letters.
To make the text good for reading at arms length use no smaller than 125
mm (1/2 inch) letters.
Try to get across the key points of your paper and highlight these, rather
than trying to fill the whole poster with text.
Use elements to structure the ideas, findings, etc.: bullets, enumeration,
tables, clip art, graphs, figures, photos.
Consider using colour to draw attention to various parts of your
presentation.
Get advice from your universitys graphic design unit or a photocopying
centre to help you visually communicate your ideas.
