Clarifications on Frequently Asked Questions on UGC Regulations on Minimum
Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic staff in Universities
and Colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in Higher Education,
2010

UGC has been receiving a large number of queries from the Stakeholders viz. Universities,
Colleges and individuals related to the appointment of Assistant Professors as per UGC
Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic
staff in Universities and Colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in Higher
Education, 2010. In view of larger public interest, following clarifications on Frequently Asked
Questions (FAQs) on the above subject are issued:~
