Synopsis

Karina goes on a romantic date with her boyfriend Hayden, but strange things happen during their outing. They receive weird looks from others in the park as Hayden remains mostly silent. Their date ends when they arrive at a cemetery and Hayden disappears. It is revealed that Hayden had died, and Karina was grieving by imagining their date at his grave, where she breaks down crying. When leaving, she sees a vision of Hayden one last time.

Synopsis

Our short story Tell Me You Love Me looks at the mental and emotional aftermath of
death and the grieving that people go through. Throughout the film, our protagonist,
16-year-old Karina, goes on a romantic date with her 17-year-old boyfriend Hayden.
Karina wakes up and messages her boyfriend saying she will saying she cant wait
to see him later, she starts getting ready for their date.
Karina leaves her house to go and meet Hayden, she arrives at Haydens house and
calls him wondering where he is. Hayden then appears from behind her kisses her
cheek and they go off on there date. Karina and Hayden dont realise the sister has
opened the door and they carry on.
The couple then go to the park, with only Karina talking and Hayden looking deep
into her eyes as if he wants to talk but remains silent, whilst there at the park they
receive weird looks from onlookers watching suspiciously.
Despite the strange looks they receive from people and that Hayden isnt responding
to Karina they still have fun being together. Hayden and Karina then walk off the
audience then realise that theyve appeared at a cemetery and Hayden disappears
leaving Karina alone. It then flashes back to Karina buying flowers for Haydens
grave and that she was alone the whole time. Karina walks over to Haydens grave
and takes out his funeral programme and lays it down with the flowers saying These
are your favourite. She breaks down in tears as she kneels in front of his
gravestone. When Karina leaves she sees Hayden behind her and says Tell Me
You Love Me Hayden waves and disappears.
